I have left all of the above behind!

I am currently living in Boise, Idaho in a house that backs up to my daughter Emily's school. She'll be in first grade in the fall. Our home is right near the foothills and we have a great view of Bogus Basin ski area from our front door. I work as the Membership and Volunteer Coordinator for the Boise Art Museum. My husband Jeff works from home telecommuting to his job in Texas. I recently got a new bike and Emily and I are having fun riding together. Boise is an absolutely fantastic place to live. There is a huge focus on "FAMILY" and "HEALTH" and we are surrounded by beautiful mountains. We especially love traveling to near-by Emmett, Idaho and picking fruits in the orchards there.

Emily played in her first chess tournament last month and we have a chess board set up in our living room on the coffee table where we spend many evenings watching “Hannah Montana” and playing games.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw45aWnos6I/AAAAAAAAA5o/adLUOfl9gv8/s320/A6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120092951278039970" />

Jeff and I celebrated ten years of marriage on July 12, 2007 with a trip to The Melting Pot and then we raced off to see Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. My father is living in Chicago, working in the loop and travels back to his home in Texas at least one weekend a month. My mother is currently living in Boise, but preparing to move back to Phoenix, Arizona. Jeff's family live in Boise and it's really fantastic to have built-in babysitting any time we need it!

Life is GREAT!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw48I2nos8I/AAAAAAAAA54/0KdJi3bDki8/s320/Untitled1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120095949165212610" />

Kristi A.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/RzieJmrDBxI/AAAAAAAABKs/sTP3HYY3rjM/s320/n527092469_372923_2528.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132025663225792274" />

Hello fellow 1992 class members! It’s been great to hear about each of you and to see your photos!

I attended UNC after graduation and received my bachelors of science in nursing. I left nursing for a few years and joined staff with the Navigators in college ministry. I worked with students at Oklahoma State University and Colorado College. After that I moved to Vietnam to teach English. I returned to Colorado in 2002 and I’ve been enjoying living in Denver for the last five years now, working as a registered nurse in an outpatient clinic. I’ve worked in oncology, general infusion and now in family practice/minor trauma with Kaiser Permanente. No weekends, evenings, holidays!

In my spare time, I love volunteering with two different ministries to international students at Denver University as well as recently beginning to assist more with the Navigator's international ministry globally.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/RzjRJ2rDByI/AAAAAAAABK0/d0-JGcXNmfw/s320/K1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132081742613776162" />

I share a cute four bedroom house close to DU/Washington Park with three other gals. I initially had international roommates, but right now it’s all American gals—which is a lot of fun!

I’m always trying to get into the mountains as much as possible— hiking 14ers, camping, backpacking, and snowshoeing on hut trips.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/RzjRKWrDBzI/AAAAAAAABK8/jAE5EGE4YYU/s320/K2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132081751203710770" />

Last week I went to Peru for a couple weeks. It was magnificent to trek in the Andes Mountains to meet and give school supplies to the local mountain children, and of course, hike and experience Machu Picchu. I’ve been back to Vietnam several times in the last few years as well. A year ago I went to Guatemala as part of a medical mission trip. I definitely have the travel bug and love serving in poorer countries ☺

While in Denver, I’ve connected with the Navigator’s ministry to 20-30 year olds and have really appreciated the value of “going beneath the water line” in one another’s lives and the desire to reach our friends for Christ through communities. Through this group, I’ve been doing some soul care training and developing life coaching skills.

I’m not married but do enjoy my four nieces and one nephew. I was engaged recently, but thankfully discovered that we weren’t right for each other before the marriage. That certainly wasn’t fun, but I can say I’ve learned and grown a lot through it and it has made me cling to Christ in deeper ways and led to a deeper desire to help others when life makes an unexpected left turn.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/RzjRK2rDB0I/AAAAAAAABLE/y-iKxl8a9ys/s320/K3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132081759793645378" />

Here’s a more recent photo of my family at my grandmother’s funeral in January. My brother David’s daughter isn’t present (she’s almost 3 now) and they are expecting a boy next March.

Again, it’s wonderful to read your stories and blessings to each of you!

Kristi

Greg B.

I hope I'm not the only dude to respond, but I've been bad about any other communication before now, so I guess it's about time. I am the Recreation and School Services Supervisor at a place called Alaska Children's Services, which is a residential treatment facility for troubled kids.

However, I just got my letter of acceptance to begin the testing and interview process for the Anchorage Fire Department, so hopefully I'll be a firefighter in a few months.

I keep busy with sports (soccer, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, basketball), traveling (went to Peru & Bolivia last winter), mountain biking, hiking, rafting, climbing, and being an uncle to my nieces and nephew.

So, there you have it, a (very) brief summary of me.

Hope this finds everyone well.

Daria B.

Hi again, y’all—It was really wonderful getting the updates from you and reading about the good things in your life (especially, your beautiful spiritual journeys! Yay!! ☺ ) and seeing the totally adorable children ☺ so many of you have! I thank our Heavenly Father for those gifts in your lives.

Most of my time and energy the last five years has been taken up with doctoral studies in Human Development. I specialize in how family relationships (including the effects of divorce) affect development of coping and the development of suicidal thoughts and behavior across the lifespan. I balance this sad stuff with looking at how we can grow and develop in positive ways from adversity, as well as with volunteering as a core member of A Child's Heart.

Before grad school, I worked with adults in crisis—those facing domestic violence, sexual assault, and suicide. I worked with young children wrestling with learning disabilities, and with hurting-but-wonderful teen girls struggling with problems of abuse, violence, school failure, drugs, suicide, and teen pregnancy. I then ended up doing some science policy work at the National Academies related to suicide prevention. I also helped care for my increasingly disabled, chronically ill mother until she died in my late twenties.

This long-term role (first taken on as a young teen) has been the defining role in my life thus far, along with that of “big sister.” = ) I have never forgotten what dear Mr. Sciacca told us in Bible class: “People are important. *People* are what matters in life…” One thing my mom showed me through her amazing, difficult life is that our work—regardless of whether it’s a recognized profession or whether it’s the unpaid work of something like parenting and home-making, whether it’s explicitly about “helping” people or whether it’s something like scrubbing toilets, crunching numbers, or fixing leaky roofs—can always be done as a gift to God and others. ☺ This continues to challenge, guide, and encourage me...

As always, I love to travel, do nature things, and be with my family (click here for more on my interests and travels).

Here’s a photo of me at Crater Lake, Oregon (definitely worth a visit! ☺)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw70X2nouMI/AAAAAAAABEM/NcCV7d2d4rE/s320/Untitled1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120298517002762434" />

...and showing you that I do still hug trees—haha ;-) (here, a massive Sierra juniper)...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw70ZmnouNI/AAAAAAAABEU/vkVJBm7Me0M/s320/Untitled2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120298547067533522" />

...here, with my dear sibs last Christmas at my German grandparents’ couple-centuries old straw-thatched-roof house (yes, we Germans use real candles on the tree…)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw70aGnouOI/AAAAAAAABEc/YfSpPVN38cQ/s320/Untitled3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120298555657468130" />

In closing, I want to say that since getting the first class update, I keep thinking of those of you who didn’t respond (as well as of the many unspoken things in some of our short replies). Maybe too busy, maybe simply didn’t care to—but maybe, some of you feel you don’t have good things to report. That life has been hard, and sad. Or kinda empty.

Life is hard. It’s why I didn’t say much when Brandon first asked us for an update, because my life is rich with both tremendous blessings and devastating suffering, so describing it isn’t very straightforward for me. We’ve all reported to each other the high points in our lives, but…the low points may outweigh the good times in some lives. So, if that’s you, I want to hold out Hope to you~

Some of you know just how differently I could tell my full story of these last 15 yrs., but here’s what I really want to leave you with: What I have gleaned from my times of sorrow, times in the Valley of the Shadow, times of being sunken into the “pit of miry clay,” is an abiding hope. ☺ I know Jesus is real. I know God is good, that God never leaves us—never forsakes us. Even when we’re sitting at the bottom of the slimy mud pit of a really pitiful, sorrowful life, Jesus is there, ready to help pull us out and put our feet back on solid ground. And I know now that, no matter how smashed and brokenhearted we become in life, no matter how much toxic waste gets dumped in our soul…Jesus can heal, and heal to the depths of our being. God can redeem even the worst in our lives. As much as I love the good and beautiful things in life, I’ve decided that the only real reason and only real way to keep going in life is to walk it with God.

God is a loving, pure, mind-boggling Being who really is worth knowing.

So, I wish you all the very Best—I wish you Jesus!

Daria : )

Jenni B.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7hj2not8I/AAAAAAAABCI/ZvtxrYjBRZg/s320/j1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120277832440264642" />

Hello fellow classmates. I am happy to hear you all are doing great. It is a lot of fun to read your updates and see your pictures. Here is my brief catch-up for the last 15 years:

After graduating from CSU, I headed out to California for my graduate work at U.C. Davis, the same school Daria attends (crazy we ended up at the same school!). I finished up my Ph.D. in Microbiology in 2003 and married Jay that year. We then moved to San Francisco so he could start his graduate work in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yes, I am the Western scientist and he is the Eastern. We have lived in the bay area for the past four years and absolutely love it.

However, we have decided to move to Iowa to be near Jay’s family and to actually dream of owning a home (a million dollars for a 3-bedroom home? I don’t think so!). We are in the process of relocating now and will be settling in the Des Moines/Ames area. I will be starting a job at Iowa State doing research on the bacteria Yersinia pestis, the bug that causes the plague, and Jay is celebrating the opening of his practice.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7hkmnot9I/AAAAAAAABCQ/31-VMfZt9Dg/s320/j2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120277845325166546" />

We have been fortunate enough to travel to some amazing places.

We visited my family in Thailand 2 years ago, bringing my father along so we could communicate (sadly I do not speak Thai any more). We had a wonderful 3 weeks traveling around the country and seeing my grandparents and extended family.

This year we traveled to China. Jay went for 4 weeks before me to study and then I joined him for 3 more weeks of travel. We had a great time, but really miss the food (our favorite was a bowl of fresh, hand pulled noodles for about 35 cents!). Thankfully Jay speaks Mandarin, so traveling around via plane, bus, taxi, and train was pretty easy.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7hkmnot-I/AAAAAAAABCY/wrDbHDHTCD0/s320/j3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120277845325166562" />

Still no kids, but now that we will be living in Iowa, we will start to think about it. We did recently adopt a dog. We found her at the local animal shelter; she is a 6-year-old golden retriever who we have named Sandi. Along with Sandi we also have 3 cats, 5 fire bellied toads, a hermit crab, a corn snake, 23 fish, and just this week added 3 pet rats. I am also taking care of a friend’s pet finches and when I have the chance; I raise orphaned wild birds. In the past year, we have had chickens, a rooster, ducks, and several turtles spend some time in our bathroom too. Ok, yet another reason to move to Iowa, so I can some day have a farm.

Well, I look forward to the 20-year reunion! Thank you Brandon for keeping us all in touch ☺

Elena C.

Ok here goes, I went to bed last night and vowed I would sit down and be a better friend and give an update...

We got evacuated from our house last Monday due to the San Diego fires and spent the whole week in Las Vegas. We live in Carlsbad, which is north county San Diego and the air quality was so bad we couldn't be in the neighborhood. The county started calling us in the middle of the night and then they sent in the police who are SO LOUD on their loud speakers and I just couldn't believe we were actually evacuating. In the history of my life when you get school cancelled it's like WOOHOOO — snow, hot chocolate, skitching, hanging out...happiness...not evacuate as fast as you can and hope for the best and go some place far that your kids can go outside. Anyway, we sat by the pool in Vegas and bowled and went to movies; it was really fun. Why do they call it Sin City...kidding.

So I live in Carlsbad and I have two kids now. My daughter Mia is 6 years old my son Liam is 3 1/2. They are totally crazy and they look like each other but not like me or Larry.

Larry and are right about to hit our 8th anniversary!! It's like what?!? I still feel like he's my college sweetheart! We were watching football yesterday, when did the quarterbacks start looking like kids?

I have a vending company that keeps me busy like 12-15 hours a week and I hang out with the kids and enjoy life. I live close to the beach and I just cannot believe how amazing the ocean is, especially when so not used to it.

I love and miss Colorado so much though, certain aspects of it make me feel a very strong yearning. My niece is a senior at CSCS and when she was getting interviewed she had to meet Mr. Micheaux. She asked if he remembered me. He did and my sister went on to give him an update and she said he looked totally shocked like "she ended up normal?!?" He said it was hard to imagine a "mature" Elena. Come on now, was I really that bad? I listened to Sandi Patty, and GLAD in my room when I was fourteen!!! I thought I was a pretty good kid!

That's all and I can't wait to hear from everyone.

Rob C.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7RmGnotvI/AAAAAAAABAg/X3KwxxPYPE4/s320/rob1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120260278908925682" />

* I am currently living in Prairie du Chien, WI., about 100 miles SW from Madison, WI. I enjoy reading all types of materials, primarily fantasy though.

* Visit my Myspace page where I have wedding pictures, etc. here.

* May God Richly Bless each and every CSCS graduate of 1992'! <>< :)

* I would love to hear from everyone!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7RmWnotxI/AAAAAAAABAw/6-ylAWN8oJs/s320/rob3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120260283203893010" />

Christian D.

It seems my life is a rough parallel to Andy West's.

My wife Lisa and I are looking forward to our tenth anniversary next spring. He will be attending pre-school again this fall.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5FImnotGI/AAAAAAAAA7E/_879vnEiPho/s320/Sandy2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120105840474895458" />

The summer of 2005 we moved from OKC, OK, to Fort Dodge, Iowa. Where is that you may ask? Well, it is in North Central Iowa. My husband, Jim, accepted the volleyball head coach position at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and so we relocated.

I continue to work as an RN at the local hospital in the CCU (Coronary Care Unit)/ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Last year I completed open-heart training and am now able to recover open-heart surgery patients after their bypass surgeries. Pretty interesting stuff. I am also looking into master programs. I would like to get my masters in nursing and become a nurse practitioner. We'll see what happens.

This winter (Dec. 30th) we are expecting our second child, which we are excited about. I think Zane is now getting used to the idea of having a baby brother or sister because earlier in the pregnancy he was telling me he didn't want a sibling—he has "Koda" (our six month old Alaskan Malamute puppy.) Zane actually told me the other day he wanted two babies, a brother and sister. I told him we would have one baby for now and he could enjoy the babysitter's little one when he goes there.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5FJ2notHI/AAAAAAAAA7M/sggIEsn5f9w/s320/Sandy3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120105861949731954" />

Well, that is a brief update on me and my family. Sorry this update is so late. Better late than never, right?

Here is what I have been up to since graduation...

I graduated from ORU in May of '96 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Pastoral Care and Counseling. I was an RA my Junior and Senior year and absolutely loved it! I then worked at Focus on the Family from June of '96 to May of 2000. I got married in March of '97, to Jasen, who I met when I was in junior high. We stayed in touch through the years and started dating my senior year of college. While working at Focus I worked on my Graduate degree and graduated in May of 2000. On June 10, 2000 I had my first child, Colton.

So I have my Masters in Marriage, Child and Family Counseling, but I have not completed my 2,000 supervised hours for licensure yet. That has been a long, slow process. I hope to finish up in a couple of years. In 2003, I had another child, Kyla, on March 25th. So I have been a full-time mom since June of 2000 and am doing some counseling here and there. It is a blessing to be able to be home with my kids--they are 8 and 5 years old. Now that my son is in 2nd grade and my daughter is in full-day Kindergarten, I hope to find a part-time counseling job so I can work on my hours.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_H19UxbFBays/SYWhX9qbpVI/AAAAAAAACYw/jPMoFyTDuww/s400/May+08+(94).jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297817969732855122" />

I started a group called Teen MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) back in September of 2006. It is a group for teenage girls who are moms. These girls range from 16-22 years of age. It has been a great eye-opening experience! We meet at the Colorado Springs pregnancy center twice a month in the evenings. Thankfully, I can count my hours with time towards my counseling hours! We have about 12 girls in our group right now and we are continuing to grow. I'm looking for more leaders--right now we only have four. This summer we have just been doing fun activities with them, like going to the zoo and Elitches. If you know of any teen girls who are pregnant and need a group to support them, send them my way!

My husband is still in the Subway business....he owns more than 20 stores now, with his brother. The $5 foot longs have been very profitable! :-) We also took over ownership of my parent's business, Randy's Towing, last year. My husband, my brother and another guy are partners in that and it is going really well. Since Jasen is good at delegating and he has several managers and general managers, he does not have to be at work all the time and I don't have to do any of the work! :-) Both businesses have been a huge blessing.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_H19UxbFBays/SYWhYEFGqFI/AAAAAAAACY4/dGumJS8IdB4/s400/March+07+246.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297817971455338578" />

I would love to get together with any of you that are still in Colorado Springs. I would love to hear from any of you that would like to re-connect. I am on Facebook!!

I am so impressed with our class and all that you have accomplished! I have been there for four years.

Currently, I am attending flight school in Denver to get all of my pilot's licenses, and plan to take a job either with the airlines eventually, or maybe get a helicopter pilot license and try to find a job doing some sort of search and rescue or med-evac.

Not married…no kids…I own a house in Denver.

I scuba dive for fun. I am certified as a Master Scuba Diver. That is really the main reason I took the job with Frontier - for the flight benefits. I wanted to find a job related to diving or saving the ocean, but it just doesn't pay well.

Anyways, that's my story. I will look forward to hearing about everyone.

Tim F.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/R1LPxwfs-kI/AAAAAAAABNA/-Y6eonj5LA0/s320/Tim+F..jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5139398578521569858" />

Times in the life of Tim F...

My, my, My. Fifteen years since I saw almost any of you.....If you want to find out what I am doing now, you will have to skip to the end.

After leaving CSCS, in the fall of '92, I went to Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana to study Computer Science (big suprise, huh?). I had fun, yes..doing crazy insane things with my college dorm mates once in a while... I produced a newspaper called the Fairburn Chronicle which was the contributions of guys on my floor and me. Some time, perhaps my first semester my Sophomore year, as I was taking my first computer science course, (yes, taking Pascal in High school with Miss Bruce did help for the first four programs) I found programming was not for me. I got very frustrated and learned something about me..I like to see tangible results right away. I finished up my Sophomore year taking other general studies courses. I had thoughts of going to photography school, but my Dad told me that it would be hard to make a living at that. Spiritually at Anderson, I grew a lot, surrounded by guys who were eager to grow too.

The summer of '94 I worked at Hugh M. Woods (a lumber/hardware store) on North Academy as a stocker.

Fall of '94, I attended Missouri Southern State College (MSSC) in Joplin, Missouri for one semester studying Computer Aided Design and Drafting/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CADD/CAM). After taking what the school said was 12 hours of school (not including the 6 hours of labs each week), I got burned out. I also did not get connected with any real Christians while I was there, which did not help me deal with my not so good academic semester in school.

I started working at Hugh M. Woods again (Jan-Feb '95, first as a cashier, then in Tools. I bounced around to Paint, Hardware/Seasonal during my two years there. I had fun for the most part working there. I tried to make some classes (that I had gotten D's in at Anderson, and MSSC) at Pikes Peak Community College during this time.

In the around Christmas time, I had jaw surgery...with my jaws wired shut for 5 ½ weeks. You can imagine my already thin physique (before surgery), after was worse :)

After leaving Hugh M. Woods in Dec.'96, I went to New England School of Architectural Woodworking in Easthampton, Massachusetts. We learned how to read blueprints, run the woodworking machines, and we did build a couple of projects. I graduated in June of '97. Some kind older people from the church took me in. I did walk a lot to just about everything (for it was a small town). I did not want to live in the East, so I went back to Colorado Springs and lived with my parents while I worked at a counter top manufacturing place. After six months or so, I was let go, under strange circumstances...God arranged for it. For He told me to keep working there, even though I did not like the job after 2-3 months. So I did.

In January '99, my father had back surgery. He had a heart attack on the operating table (his second, first was 1987). He came through, but his surgery incision never healed, and got infected. He was in the hospital at least once more, then on April 1, Mom found him in a coma, and after a while called the ambulance. He was in the coma for a week. He had a stroke, that is why he was in a coma. He lived a few more weeks and died May 16th, of a blood infection.

Since my Dad died, I have a true idea of how God our Father really is. I did have the view of Him that He was loving, but distant. For I am sure some of you have heard that you view your Heavenly Father how you view your earthly Father (it was true in my case).

I went back to working at Woods in Feb. '98 first as cashier, then in hardware/seasonal. I left in March of '99 for Missouri. My Mom is from Missouri, and she bought ground adjoining her Father's ground.

In June 2001, I started my own portable sawmill business. It was four years from when I saw the machine on TV to when I prayed about it and bought one and a solar-heated kiln kit.

In August '04 I worked for a cabinet shop out of Clinton, Missouri. I was there six months. I was let go about 2 weeks or so before Mom's second cancer surgery. Let me back up...Mom was diagnosed with cancer of the appendix in May '04. She had emergency surgery early June (about a week from when she first had the symptoms. They were shocked to find cancer. In did various treatments, and in the end on May 23rd, 06 she died in our house. Suzanne was around too for the last few weeks.

After Mom died I did not do well for a while, I was worrying, and had lots of grief. It took me almost year to get over it (not that it should not have taken that long). The next part helped some. I am a lot closer to God, and enjoy worshiping God once in a while (I should do more).

Now for the good...I mean GREAT news. I have been praying for years, seriously off and on since I have moved to Missouri. After a while I prayed specifically for what I wanted in a wife. Well, April 30th, 2007, I meet my future wife. That was our first date. Her name is Rachel, she lives in Kansas City, Missouri (about 1 ½ hours from my house). I was not sure what our relationship would do, and I kept it under wraps for at least a month, until I knew it was going somewhere. Unfortunately, my Mom did not get to meet her. I am still trying to figure out why God took my Mom home when He did. We are getting married January 5th, 2008 in Appleton City, Missouri at my home church. The more I get to know her and her family, the more I know God picked her out just for ME!! He answered all I asked for in a wife, and my desires too!!! It was worth the wait!!!!!!!!!! Yes, there were times when I thought, God it's time now...

In late July '07, I started working a shop that makes high end speaker boxes (other parts of our company put the rest of the parts in to make a speaker). It is all I asked for in a job, and once again, my desires to. This happened both times after I surrendered my whole life to God. Right now it is very busy, as I commute 3 hours a day, and see my Rachel at least three times per week. Below is our engagement announcement picture.

Rachel wanted to add:

“God has answered my prayers and brought be a very special person into my life and I am blessed to share my life with Tim. I love him so much and wouldn't trade anything for him. He is the missing piece to my heart. He completes me. I look forward to a future with him. ;) “

A generally happy, but very busy,

Tim and soon to be Tim and Rachel!

Brandon F.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7cdGnot2I/AAAAAAAABBY/D8ojnrpjZgc/s320/b1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120272218918008674" />

I was going to only catch everyone up for the last five years or so, but then I thought there might be people on this list who weren’t at the reunion. So a quick catch-up…

• After CSCS, I attended Christ for the Nations where I received an Associates in Theology

• I began my freshman year at UCCS but got distracted by a Congressional internship in Washington D.C

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7cdWnot3I/AAAAAAAABBg/0qfmXc7SEnY/s320/b2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120272223212975986" />

• After the internship, I would have returned to school but then I got distracted by the U.S. Navy where I spent five years flying in S-3 Vikings and P-3 Orions. During most of that time I was living in Italy and traveling extensively throughout Europe and Africa

• I returned to Colorado and to UCCS where I finished my English Literature degree with a minor in Film Studies

OK, that catches me up to the reunion. Now on to the past five years:

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7cdmnot5I/AAAAAAAABBw/Ey_BnFQ3Bcw/s320/b4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120272227507943314" />

Since we last met, I married the beautiful Stephanie whom many of you met at the reunion. We lived in downtown Colorado Springs for a couple of years while I worked as a producer and video editor at a small production company.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7cd2not6I/AAAAAAAABB4/E1qTX-nfHa4/s320/b5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120272231802910626" />

A year and a half ago, we moved to Manhattan so I could get my MA in Cinema Studies from NYU. The move also allowed Stephanie to fulfill a dream — though we had a commuter marriage for the duration of my schooling (I graduated in December of '07), she now works for NASA in Washington D.C.!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7cdWnot4I/AAAAAAAABBo/T5sy9DxRMr4/s320/b3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120272223212976002" />

Outside of school, I have been working for several different media corporations including Sony Pictures. I have taken over as The Colorado Springs Gazette's official film critic. I also review films for Christianity Today magazine and several websites. While I certainly enjoy being a film critic, I hope to begin as a producer/screenwriter soon.

We now live in Washington D.C. but are already drooling at the chance to move back to New York City, a city we utterly adore.

I had to include one more picture. Just because I know it is sure to shock!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7cxGnot7I/AAAAAAAABCA/W2o9V_Bjoh0/s320/b6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120272562515392434" />

Check me out at Facebook or at my website: www.brandonfibbs.com

Stacy F.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rylb7oXRTiI/AAAAAAAABIU/0ICOdsqjh-g/s320/Stacy1.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127730730743451170" />

Greetings class of ’92. It brought many smiles to my face, many laughs to his.

Consequently, I find myself every now and then, singing (sort of) a few lines from that ever-famous rap song, “Road Kill Christian” or busting out a couple of moves from our cheerleading dance routine. I have been an Air Force nurse for the last ten years and love it. In 1997, my little sister, Katy (6th grade when we were seniors) was killed in a car accident. It was most certainly a tragic and life-changing experience, but a reminder that though we may not always understand God’s will, it is still perfect. What an amazing blessing and comfort that is!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rylb84XRTkI/AAAAAAAABIk/lDkvTExsExI/s320/stacy3.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127730752218287682" />

In 2004, I married Jeff Friesen who I met while we were stationed in England. It is great sharing my life with somebody who loves God, family and country as much as I do. We have no children of our own yet so are cherishing our titles as “World’s Greatest Aunt and Uncle” to two nieces and four nephews. ☺

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rylb9IXRTlI/AAAAAAAABIs/fl7s840c3zE/s320/Stacy4.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127730756513254994" />

Life and the Air Force have taken us all over the world and we love it more each day. In just a couple of weeks, I will be heading to Afghanistan to care for our troops and Afghani friends. I would like to think that God will use me to touch lives but something tells me that I am the life who will be touched!

Hoping to make the next reunion so that I can get to know the new people you have become and the people from back then that I maybe never took the time to know.

Kris G.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7Z82notzI/AAAAAAAABBA/uxeItyOAn6Y/s320/k1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120269465843971890" />

Greetings to those of us who graduated together from the carpeted hallways of our high school/church building, who narrowly escaped the clutches of Mr. Babbit, Mr. Chalfant, Mr. Young, Ms. March, Mrs. Borkert (who we may or may not have TP'd), and Coach Poirier (who we may or may not have stolen a key to the gym from).

After our exodus, I studied English Literature in college and then moved to Los Angeles to act and write.

I met a girl named Tawni who changed my life and we got married last year. I then moved to central Florida and started working as a kindergarten teacher.

I met my husband at the school and we were married two years later in 1999. My husband started working at Faith Presbyterian Church in town.

After three years of teaching, I decided to go back to school to get my Master’s degree in Spanish. I graduated from Bennington College in 2003 with a Master of Arts in Teaching a Second Language.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7G3WnotrI/AAAAAAAABAA/6s4R6L7Bqww/s320/Amy2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120248480633763506" />

The same summer we went to Russia to adopt our four and a half-year-old daughter. She was in an orphanage about two hours from St. Petersburg, Russia. She has been a blessing to us! We just celebrated her fourth year with us. She loves dance class and karate and singing. I am home-schooling Hannah for one year to help her with reading.

I taught elementary and high school Spanish for six years and then in December 2006, I had my first baby, Caleb Gregory Gunn. I am happy staying at home taking care of him. He is now eight months old.

I keep busy helping my husband with church activities and the youth. I am also teaching Spanish and our church once a week and substituting at school once a week.

My parents are back from the mission field after 15 years. It is nice to have them live here in Brooksville, FL., where we live.

Amanda H.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7qkWnouJI/AAAAAAAABDw/ik0bmybpTGs/s320/a1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120287736634849426" />

My life has changed pretty radically since our reunion. On February 17, 2004 my husband, Erik, and I welcomed twin boys (Jackson Spencer and Isaac Joseph) into our world. I taught kindergarten for six and 1/2 years before that, but decided to quit when the boys arrived. So I have been a stay at home mom for the past three and 1/2 years. The first year of parenthood was pretty rough with double duty, but Jackson and Isaac have brought tons of joy into our lives and of course they are worth all the hardship we went through when they were little. It's hard to imagine life without them now. They are very different in almost every way—from their appearance to their interests: Jackson loves letters, numbers, writing, and reading. Isaac is very athletic and is great at any sport he tries, but he especially loves golf and baseball. One thing the boys have in common is their love for music. They are always singing and playing their little guitars, drums, and other various instruments.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7qkWnouKI/AAAAAAAABD4/7gqZx6seAX8/s320/a2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120287736634849442" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7qkmnouLI/AAAAAAAABEA/EUQMpj5nUBE/s320/a3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120287740929816754" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7pQWnouFI/AAAAAAAABDQ/6y4Y97k33xU/s320/a1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120286293525837906" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7pmmnouGI/AAAAAAAABDY/D1XSAAfsUOI/s320/a2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120286675777927266" />

The boys and the house keep me busy, but I also find time to sing on the worship team at church and stay involved with a Bible study and MOPS. My husband works in downtown Denver as an architect, but he is pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary. After he's done with his degree, we're fairly certain full time ministry is in our future, but we'll have to wait and see where God takes us! We still live in Lakewood, CO and don't plan to move anytime soon, but that could definitely change.

I look forward to hearing about what you all are up to!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7pmmnouHI/AAAAAAAABDg/HVhDIY1EUBA/s320/a3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120286675777927282" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7pnWnouII/AAAAAAAABDo/u3tiBksN1cQ/s320/a4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120286688662829186" />

Heidi H.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7P-WnottI/AAAAAAAABAQ/Tz5bDO_VaWA/s320/hi1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120258496497497810" />

I studied English, Philosophy and Theatre at UCCS, so with my year abroad in England I took just over six years to finish college! During my time at Bristol University in England, I met my husband Kevin, a physicist and aspiring opera singer. After a brief and transatlantic courtship, we married in 1999. We lived on his narrowboat on the river
Avon for several years, and I developed a freelance career writing for magazines/internet clients and also teaching drama.

In 2003, I launched my children's performing arts school (a franchise of Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools) in Bristol, and in 2005 bought another branch. I now manage a staff of seven and look after the performing arts training of over 150 children on a weekly basis.

While all of that has been going on, I've further developed my interests in what I would loosely call 'storytelling' by completing an MA in Archaeology for Screen Media (artifacts and film-making—shared between archaeology and drama departments at Bristol University), and also a diploma in Scriptwriting. Recently my freelance work has centered on the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7P-mnotuI/AAAAAAAABAY/W4jHHDTpEeI/s320/hi2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120258500792465122" />

Two years ago we finally moved off the narrowboat and onto dry land where we are living happily in central Bristol with our two cats. My husband has now given up physics and science presenting in favor of singing opera, and has finished his training at Birmingham Conservatoire—we're hoping he gets a place with Welsh National Opera chorus (which is at least commutable!). No children yet, but watch this space!

Jeremy J.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rx5tQWnoupI/AAAAAAAABH0/kX_2kQxQ-ec/s320/IMG_3597.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124653553711364754" />

From Jennifer, Jeremy's wife...

For those who missed the 10 year reunion, Jeremy went to West Point after CSCS (1992 - 1996), then went to the Uniformed Services University of Health Science in Bethesda, Maryland for Med School (1996-2000). Then he did a Family Practice Residency at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, just outside Washington DC (2000 - 2003). After that we went to Germany where Jeremy was in charge of an Army Clinic near Mannheim (south of Frankfurt) (2003 - 2006). It was a job with a lot of work but we took advantage of living in Europe by traveling extensively - we saw most major cities in Western Europe and even made it up to the Baltic and St. Petersburg! I am including a picture from our favorite place, Santorini Island in Greece.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rx5tQmnouqI/AAAAAAAABH8/tLiN028n_bw/s320/IMG_9091.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124653558006332066" />

Now we live in Dupont, WA, about an hour south of Seattle. Juliana is 4 1/2 and Elise is 11 months old. We are having so much fun as parents! We do a lot of family walks together and we're enjoying this time with the girls. We have a great Bible Study and many friends here in Dupont. Juliana is in preschool and swimming right now. Jeremy is doing really well and we have enjoyed living in this area with all the outdoor activities.

We leave this area next summer and we hope to move back to the DC area again, since that is where my family lives, and Jeremy may well get deployed to the Middle East at that point. We don't know what the Lord has in store for us.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rx5tPGnounI/AAAAAAAABHk/p5-3QdHWyEI/s320/DSC00864.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124653532236528242" />

We have just returned from a trip back East to see my parents...it was my Naval Academy 10 year reunion, hence the Navy outfits!

Danelle K.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw61hWnotaI/AAAAAAAAA9o/9LFDqQiC52M/s320/Untitled4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120229410978968994" />

I went off to college in 92' to Azusa Pacific University where I attended for a year and a half before meeting my husband. I will also begin to teach an Early Childhood Course in the Fall at Aurora Community College. My husband and I reside in Parker, CO in the Stonegate Subdivision (I don't live way out in the country side-we are only 5 minutes from I-25!). Our family loves the theatre, camping, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking. It’s been a great 15 years with lots of moving and traveling!

Mark K.

I am still married to Jana for 7 years and we have two boys, Chase (4) and Brayden (2). (geesh I feel old!) Can't believe it's been five years already since the reunion! To bring you all up to speed...

I'm still living in Los Angeles and still working as a Script Supervisor in variety television. I did one more season of "American Idol" after the reunion and have since been doing "various" variety television. ;)

In 2004 I had the wonderful opportunity to work for two months in Cancun on "The Real Gilligan's Island," a reality show for TBS. The first month was crazy and lonely as I had to be away from my boyfriend who I'd been dating for a year. But a weeklong visit turned into a three week, labor-intensive job for him. Yes, it was nepotism at its worse, but it allowed us to see each other in passing during our 12-hour workdays. :)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7k8WnouAI/AAAAAAAABCo/jTUESbV5cn4/s320/Ed%2526LisaCancun.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120281551881943042" />

That year also consisted of some "lesser-known" and much lamer reality shows.... "Outback Jack" and "Mr. Romance," anyone...anyone? :) Hey, it's a paycheck.

2005 started off with a shiver in -15 degree weather on the lawn of the ellipse in front of the White House. That was probably the dumbest of the many galas and parties thrown for the Inauguration. "Let's put on a concert outdoors in January!!" Needless to say, they figured out quick that violins don't play at that temperature. :) But I got a close-up picture of W and Laura as they made a quick exit backstage. :)

In August '05 I joined the “MADtv” team, and what a wonderful team it is! Nine months of work plus benefits (in my line of work that's unheard of) and I get to laugh all day with fun, sweet people. :) Gloria is my saving grace in a room full of boys!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7lKGnouBI/AAAAAAAABCw/Bnj39PUPvCE/s320/MADtvScriptDepartment.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120281788105144338" />

I've now done 2 seasons of MAD - Seasons 11 & 12 - and am headed into Season 13 in October.

While on hiatus from MAD, I've acquired a couple of "annual shows" -- the Fox Upfront Presentation and "An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre" - or as it was this year "A Holiday Celebration at Ford's Theatre." This year we shot a Christmas show in June. That was fun! (Watch for it this year the week of Christmas on ABC!)

The Ford’s Theatre staff throws the cast and crew a reception at the Capitol that I look forward to every year. (Yes, the script department consists of Risa and Lisa.) :)

As for now, I am currently on “Last Comic Standing” and working with a friend from church. How cool is that?! I love working with a fellow Christian and friend.

On a more personal note, I am still dating and very much in love with Ed Keaveny. We're still praying and waiting on God to lead us into marriage. We’ve made some wonderful friends with a few couples from church that we’re both grateful for and who have been big influences in both our lives.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7lxGnouDI/AAAAAAAABDA/08OoBYghoxw/s320/Ed%2520%2526%2520Lisa%2520Glen%2520Eyre.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120282458120042546" />

Speaking of marriage... For the last two Februarys, I've participated in castle weddings. This year my littlest sister, Michelle, got married at Glen Eyre castle. And in 2006 it was an Irish wedding in an Irish castle (my first time overseas!)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7ljGnouCI/AAAAAAAABC4/pzwhpyU6dSQ/s320/Lisa%2526StaceyIreland.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120282217601873954" />

And that’s about it for me! Thanks to "Facebook," I was able to find Brandon!

Every now and then I have this strange dream I am late for school and riding the city bus with Brandon, Kris Germain, Dusty and Mike Ducharme. I have such funny and great memories of going to CSCS. Yes those memories include getting in trouble for drinking and then going to Rob Nordeman's and having his mom catch me. Okay so it wasn't one of my brightest moments, but I am sure we all have life lessons! Hopefully most of you have better memories of me from our senior year. I think I was on way better behavior that year.

So an update of what's been happening since we graduated...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/SBR9MoCMDTI/AAAAAAAABV8/H_zEqEuNLuo/s320/Summer+2003+preggo+with+LJ.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193913926123523378" />

I stayed in Colorado Springs for about a year after we graduated and then attended Sioux Falls College in South Dakota. I was miserable; it was soooo cold. So I transferred to sunny Arizona. I moved to Phoenix in 1994 and have been here ever since. I have been married to my sweet hubby, James, for 11 years. He is an amazing man, funny and kind. We have three wonderful kids: Jasmine 8, Jalyn 7, LJ (which stands for Little James) 4.

In 1995-2001 I went to work for Mayo Clinic Scottsdale as a human resources generalist and they paid for any continued education. It was a great job. I was responsible for hiring nurses and physicians and was able to travel to different job fairs around the U.S.. While working at Mayo in 1999 I had our first child Jasmine and 14 months later came her sister Jalyn in 2000. To say the least, being a working corporate career mom was intense. From 2001-2003 I left Mayo and took a HR Director position for a company called Insight.com. In early spring of 2003, I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd. At this point I really was done doing the whole working thing. I had spent so much time building my career and education that once I was at home with my girls and pregnant I saw how much I had really neglected building my family.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/SBR894CMDSI/AAAAAAAABV0/2B1fK6J8uaw/s320/Sherene+%26+Girls+2002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193913672720452898" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/SBR89YCMDQI/AAAAAAAABVk/pDE7zdTyms4/s320/LJ+Colorado+2007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193913664130518274" />

I was so thankful that God had revealed to me that it was his sovereign choice to be the wife and mother that I am. He has given what I need to be a great wife and mother, if I just surrender to Him. In the fall of 2003, while pregnant with my son, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. It was a really hard time for me. I felt that I had to hold it together for the sake of my daughters and the baby I was carrying as well not add more stress to my husband’s condition. James went through 2 years of chemotherapy and is currently in remission. The amazing thing was that I was able to see what a blessing it is to have a husband that has a sincere desire to serve God. He was never bitter or depressed, but just kept saying "I just want to respond in a way that brings glory to God."

I am back in Colorado Springs every summer for the last week in July. This past year I was in Colorado Springs a lot due to the sudden death of my dad. He died about a year ago from a massive heart attack while walking with my mom in the Garden of the Gods. It has been a hard time for our family, but out of all the things I don't understand, I know that God is God and his love is deep for his own. I am thankful that my brothers still live in the Springs to be close to my mom.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/SBR884CMDOI/AAAAAAAABVU/JFXKILHzZ9A/s320/James+%26+Kids+CA+trip+2007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193913655540583650" />

So what has been happening as of late? My husband and I own a construction/real-estate devolvement company called Pinnacle Southwest. We specialize in commercial and residential projects and are big into Green building and are in the process of becoming LEED accredited. Since the market has changed, most of our work is currently government jobs with the city of Phoenix. I work from home as the general manager half days while the kids are at school. We attend a church called Highlands in North Scottsdale and I serve on the board of our women's ministry. We are also small group leaders for our college age group called "Element". We recently got back from a missions trip in Mexico with those college kids. Tons of FUN!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/SBR89oCMDRI/AAAAAAAABVs/w8ROZeaPzUw/s320/Mexico+Mission+Trip.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193913668425485586" />

When I have free time, I like to go eat sushi with my friends, hang out at the pool and play in the sun. I still play soccer year round — although I will have to say my body does not heal like it used to. As of recently I have become a tennis, bowling and golf pro thanks to the Nintendo Wii and my kids:)

Well that is pretty much it. I feel like this is such a great stage of life for us right now. My heart feels so full from God's blessings and his provision for my family amazes me each and every day! I hope you all are doing well and can't wait to hear from you!

Blessings,

Sherene

Patti M.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw6zZmnotXI/AAAAAAAAA9Q/Ka8A61qTzxA/s320/F-15%2520Sept.%252028%252C%252007%2520310-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120227078811727218" />

Hi friends from the class of 1992! This update finds the Moore family happily settled in Anchorage, Alaska. Few of you saw my boys and me in Colorado during a very short 1.5-year period of time in 2003/2004. We were living with my parents while my husband Jay was serving an Air Force remote assignment in South Korea. I say it was "short" but you all know what I mean, in retrospect it was a cake walk compared to the hundreds of thousands of spouses waiting for their soldiers to come safely home to them from war. It was a blessed time for us as it gave my boys a chance to learn about and love their grandparents. This is not possible for military children usually. Oh yes, there is something to that saying “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

We moved to Alaska in March of 2004 and have been eating this place up since then! If it does not include tackle, mud, outboard motors, downriggers, hip waders or snow we don't want to do it! Some of you know what I'm talking about. What a great place to raise little boys (and a big one as well). I am no longer a priss, can handle the smell of fish and even love to clean the ones I catch! I've come a loooong way.

Jay still pilots the F-15C Eagle and is as qualified as he can ever get. This is how he knows he is one of the old guys and that his time left in the Eagle is very limited. I have personally had a love hate relationship with the fighter community until a few years back, what a perfect "picture" of the world we live in. I have grown in my faith in ways that I never dreamed possible. We anticipate January as Jay's departure from the jet forever unless God blesses him with an attached flyer status in his next job. We will be reassigned to Elmendorf AFB here in Anchorage and are excited to stay for as long as the Lord allows us. Four more years until retirement!

I continue to "keep the home fires burning", literally. It's cold here. I clean our igloo regularly and make sure our sled dogs are well fed and ready for carpool. Our boys Jacob and Brandon are six and nine and enjoy their smallish, private, Christian school (sound familiar everyone?). They are in first and fourth grades. These boys can do anything grown up men can do here in Alaska. Hunt, fish, camp and they ski like demons. I love their independence! We have just celebrated twelve years of marriage and are so encouraged by knowing first hand that everything has gotten better with time and will continue to do so. The Lord has truly blessed.

Dawn M.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw7nw2nouEI/AAAAAAAABDI/V374XrgUv7I/s320/Untitled3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120284652848330818" />

Time flies, huh? Fifteen years is such a long time so I'll err on the side of brevity.

I went to college near Chicago, IL, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught in poverty stricken areas for seven years and loved it. (Earned a master’s degree somewhere in that time as well.)

I've been married for nine years to an upstate NY fellow named Benjie McLain and we have three boys: Tristan, six, is a first grader; Aiden, four, is our bundle of energy; Landon, one, was eight weeks premature and is still being spoiled by all of us. (He's the last one, though!) For the past three years, I've been staying home with the kids.

Three years ago we also decided to move to Florida to be closer to my family. As much as we loved the weather, being close to my parents, and close to Disney World, it really wasn't working out for us. So this past March my husband took a management position at a hospital in Springfield, IL. We love it here and hope to stay for a long time. And that is my update in a very tiny nutshell!

Missy P.

Well, I've been reading through everyone's updates and it's quite humbling, actually.

Lately, I've been realizing how many amazing people walked out the CSCS doors in the year 1992, and I never got to know them as well as I would have liked. I regret that.

Some of your updates have made me smile, and some have made me hurt, but I have enjoyed reading each of them, so thanks for sharing what you have been doing.

So, I'm kind of boring, but here you go:

I traveled up to UNC and majored in Bilingual/Bicultural Elementary Education, which is just a really fancy way of saying I majored in Spanish and el. ed. And no, I don't speak fluent Spanish like some of you do. Andy Parks came up to UNC one year later and majored in Kinesiology, as well as Education. We were married in 1995, our Junior year of college, and he worked three jobs, while I worked one at a daycare, until we graduated.

We both said we would not end up in Colo. Springs and definitely not at CSCS, but sure enough, that is where the Lord put Andy the fall of 1997, and he is still there. I worked in D-20 for a year, and came to CSCS a year later. Needless to say, we love it. I must admit, it has been very strange to be in faculty meetings sitting next to Mrs. Borkert, or Miss Bruce. A little creepy at first, but it's become home, you know? And now, Andy is the Athletic Director there, and after teaching Kindergarten for five years, I am teaching Spanish part time at the Elementary school.

OK, moving on…the Lord brought us our precious daughter Tori on July 8, 2002. Ej came on May 25, 2005. They are blessings and they keep me very busy. Andy is an awesome dad, and I have so much fun seeing him laugh and be silly with the kids. Knowing our kids will get to go to the school with Mr. Bray (Did any of you have him as a principal? I adore that man) thrills me. I am so thankful for that.

Anyway, there's stuff in between, let's see: Andy's parents are doing great, but his dad had open heart surgery after they found an aneurism in his heart about five years ago. Andy had some tests done and he has an aneurism as well, so we watch and pray that it does not grow, because he will also need to have open-heart surgery soon, as well. My dad has been very ill, but is optimistic as always. He had cancer, a heart attack, and is suffering from Minier's Disease, but the Lord has given him a beautiful spirit of grace and I admire him greatly for his courage.

Well, I said to myself that I wouldn't let this get lengthy, but look at it! Yuck! I guess that when I think of CSCS and the people that it involves, well it is what helped me through some of the most difficult years of my life. So, you might not even know it, but there were so many of you that made my days brighter and I'm a better person today because of it, because of CSCS. I hope you are able to see some of God's handiwork in your lives today, and thanks again, Brandon, for keeping us all in touch!

Beth P.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5N0mnotPI/AAAAAAAAA8M/dx-dVnjIsQc/s320/Untitled2.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120115392482161906" />

Wow, I can’t believe how much has changed in the five years since we had our 10-year reunion. In many ways I agree with Brandon, it feels like just yesterday that we all met up again for that 10-year reunion!

Here’s a snapshot of my life now:

My husband, Lanny, and I have been married for 11.5 years; we will reach 12 years in October. Our daughters, Mikaela and Eliana, are nine and seven years old. Their red hair and sweet hearts continue to draw a lot of attention wherever we go – Wal-Mart or New York City!

We live in Falcon, which doesn’t seem so much like Kansas anymore! For those of you no longer in the Colorado Springs area, Falcon now boasts several amenities – Super Wal-Mart, Safeway, several fast food chains….yeah, we’ve become “big city”! ☺

Lanny works at Westone Laboratories, Inc. Westone makes a custom product for the ear canal – hearing aids, in-ear monitors for musicians, water plugs for swimmers, etc.

I am currently working at home (WOO-HOO!) as an administrative assistant for several women who own their own business – I absolutely love it. I get to be in my pj’s all day (if I want) and do something that I am good at! It gives me the freedom to be available for my husband, my girls, and the ministry God has me in.

In June (2007) I was honored to be able to travel with ten other people from my church to Nairobi, Kenya to minister with Mathare Worship Center in Mathare Valley. Mathare is the second largest slum in Kenya with about 600,000 people living within a six square mile radius. Our church, Calvary Worship Center, has formed a sister-church relationship with MWC and God is honoring the relationship we have built with the body over there. I was there for two weeks and absolutely fell in love with the people of our church there. A part of my heart remains in Mathare Valley, Kenya.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5PEGnotQI/AAAAAAAAA8U/l3yFMuq9Mpc/s320/Untitled3.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120116758281762050" />

Outside of sitting at the computer all day, raising my girls and loving on my husband, God has given me a heart for discipleship and counseling other women (Isaiah 61:1-4). I am in the process of pursuing a degree and/or certification in Biblical Counseling (need to land on a program) and waiting on God’s timing for some things.

I would love to hear from anyone!

Check out my blogs at:
Heart for Him & Coffee House Conversations

Jason R.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/R2vceiDOnZI/AAAAAAAABNw/3OCYYCWGRbc/s320/Jason.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146449416295456146" />

It’s been great to see everyone’s updates and find out what everyone has been doing the last 15 years. Here’s my stab at an update:

I went to college near Boise, ID and graduated in 1996 with a BS in Computer Science. While in Boise, I ended up in a technical marketing role at Hewlett-Packard, then at a Boise-based software company and was able to (forced to actually) travel extensively. I think one year I earned over 150,000 sky miles. I worked in England and Germany and traveled extensively through every country in Western Europe and to all but three of the 50 states during that time. For fun, I was either mountain biking on the greatest single-track trails in the lower 48 or white water rafting the great rivers in Idaho.

I moved from Boise to Atlanta, GA in 2003 only to discover that I prefer the more liberal west to the South. I was only there for six months. Two months into my stint in GA I was lucky enough to be contacted by a recruiter for a position in Boulder. This was my first real opportunity to move back to Colorado. So, after 6 months in Atlanta, I packed up my family once again and moved them back West. I currently work in Sales for a software company in Broomfield, CO. I manage our national accounts and our partner relationships.

I am single now (for the first time since high school really) and am learning a whole new life. I have three beautiful children. Lauryn, aged 8, Will, aged 4, and Jake, aged 2.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/R2vbQiDOnYI/AAAAAAAABNo/PM-_NbIrMOQ/s320/Jason+Kids.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146448076265659778" />

This is a great picture of my kids (it is a year old… but I still love it). Jake (the two year old) is a little more of a terror now than he was in this picture. I think he inherited an ornery streak from someone.

For fun, I like to cycle (road bike mainly now). I like longer distance rides and can’t wait until the weather gets a bit warmer so I can get back in the saddle. I am skiing once again and have reacquired the bug to climb 14ers and enjoy all Colorado has to offer. I still travel quite a bit (for work and pleasure) I also enjoy sports and music and get to Broncos/Nuggets/Rockies/Avs games (and concerts) as often as I can.

Speaking of music (shameless plug here) – my little brother is a professional musician and is on the brink of either going broke or making it big – check his tunes out at www.michaelrossback.com. I still hit the gym daily (not much has changed since high school) but seem to be there more out of necessity now than for fun (the joys of getting older).

Feel free to email me – especially you folks in Denver. I’d love to catch up. I can be reached at jason@rossback.com.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/R2vceyDOnaI/AAAAAAAABN4/r-GAl6tXEbg/s320/Jason%27s+Jake.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146449420590423458" />

Jake outside at Sunday school.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/R2vceyDOnbI/AAAAAAAABOA/9gcjRbfEZ1g/s320/Jason%27s+Lauryn+.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146449420590423474" />

Lauryn just after I took her to get her ears pierced.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/R2vceyDOncI/AAAAAAAABOI/tjOnoH76aok/s320/Jason%27s+Will.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146449420590423490" />

Will at my office.

Katie S.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5AxWnos9I/AAAAAAAAA6A/ro92Q9eLRak/s320/katie1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120101042996425682" />

Life in my neck of the woods hasn't changed a whole lot in the last few years. Sam and I are still married (a miracle straight from heaven, for sure). Morgann is eight and will be starting 3rd grade at CSCS next month. I pretty much keep busy running her around the world to swimming, gymnastics, piano lessons, AWANA's, track, school, etc...besides still working full time. I finally quit being stubborn and sat for the CPA exam last year, so I am now official in the eyes of the IRS. I actually strangely enjoy the world of taxes.

My sister and I bought a cabin by Alcova Reservoir in Casper, Wyoming the summer before last and have spent a considerable amount of time driving back and forth to Wyoming on the weekends to play. Bought some jetskis and a boat and have been having a fabulous time. What a blast! Every kid should have a lake to grow up by. In the timeless words of Ferris Bueller, "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up!"

My sister Charlotte made me an aunt a few months ago after five years, a long struggle to have a baby and eight months of bed rest. It's almost as good as having another child myself. We anticipated his arrival for so many years—he's really the apple of my eye (right after my own little one!)

Done some traveling over the last year...went to Australia over Christmas for a few weeks. My husband's mom lives just north of Brisbane so we stayed with her and did all he tourist stuff. Sam finally convinced me to get scuba certified before we went. So we went diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Freaking fabulous! Camped out on the beach where the sea turtles were coming up to lay their eggs. Went to the Australia Zoo to see the shrine built to Steve Irwin. What a great place—he really was an amazing environmentalist.

So, I after seeing it all written here, I'm reminded that I really do have all of the things in my life that make a life good. (And I thought life was really boring). My dad always tells me that the 30's are the best years of your life. You're not broke like you were in your 20's...you have spouses and children to enjoy...you're body is not yet old and hopefully you don't have all of the aches and pains of age. It took a few years of patience, persistence and some help from Holy Spirit to convince me I was the marrying kind. Praise God Sean didn't give up!

Sean and I wed in Aug of '01. It's been a wonderful journey so far and we're just getting started.

Shortly after we married, we both completed a Masters in Sport Management from the University of Florida and moved to New England to pursue a job opportunity...a few interesting twists and turns and voila...we are almost up to date!

In Sept of '06 our family was blessed by the addition of Little Miss Rayna...unexpected though she was. ;) And the past year has been one wonderful, challenging, but never to be exchanged roller coaster ride...I expect more of the same in the future.

Sean and I are serving in various capacities at our church. Much of what we do involves the youth and the young adults. We are also small group leaders.

Sean is also the AD for a small regional Christian school that the church supports...no carpeted hallways here, but no gymnasium either. We have to drive a half hour to get to practice/games during basketball season...Ugh!

I was involved with personal training before Rayna arrived and have not yet gone back, although I am back to teaching 'Health and Fitness' at Fitchburg State College...it's one of the few things I approve of in the state of MA. Every student in the state system has to take this course, or one similar, to graduate regardless of their major. (A much needed intervention, in my opinion.) * Kris, I required my students to watch your 'Training Day' clip as part of a weekly discussion question we do online. Half of them were scandalized and totally grossed out, the other half thought it was the funniest thing ever. Keep up the good work! :)

I believe we VonRoenns will have more to report after the first of the year...we seem to be coming to a time of transition and we are seeking direction from the Lord as to what that will mean for our family. Sean and I are pretty passionate about using the venue of health and fitness to connect people with their Creator, so I anticipate that we will be flowing in that vein...whatever that means and were ever that takes us, so long as it's in line with God's purpose for our lives and our family.

Hope this note finds you all walking in the blessings that come of pursuing Christ. Whatever sacrifices you may have been asked to make, whatever valleys you may have traversed, they are worth the cost of following Him! He is so worth it!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5KTmnotMI/AAAAAAAAA70/y-VSoe7dKw4/s320/Content2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120111527011595458" />

Andy W.

My wife Mandi and I are working on our 10th year of marriage. Yes, it is Polish. :)

Rick and I have been married for eight and 1/2 wonderful years. God is good! He has blessed us in many ways this year! Last year was a tough year for our family health wise, as I was diagnosed with chronic illness. But God has given us the strength, resources, peace and ingenuity that we needed, and still need as we both adjust diets, schedules and stress levels so my health stays on the up and up. Rick has been a great help and support to me during this trial and I thank God for him. He helps me laugh at our struggles, as we both continue to "break down" in our "old age." God knew we needed each other.

We still live in Muncie, Indiana. It is a great little town and has been a wonderful place to raise three very special little ones.

Abby is six and 1/2 and is a very energetic loving girl. She brings joy and life into just about any situation. Kids look to her for a laugh. She also brings many beautiful songs, by voice and/or piano (mostly all original) into our days. She has grown so much this summer even, in maturity and stature. She has both Rick's and my energy, my people skills and Rick's fun humor. She's a great little girl!

Chrissy just tuned five this July. She is a sweet and sensitive little girl who loves people too, but in a more quiet way. She is our one who is always coming up to give us kisses and hugs, telling us, "I love you mommy/daddy." She also loves to sing constantly, especially praise songs. She's one of our little engineers, always asking questions and trying to figure things out. She is a joy.

Timothy will turn two in September. He is our special other little engineer. He has tons of energy but still lots of hugs for Mommy and Daddy. He keeps us on our toes right now, as he is into everything...but he also keeps us laughing. He loves his big sisters, and tries to do just about everything they do. He also loves shoes and going "bye - bye." Whenever he thinks it is time to go anywhere he will try to get to everyone's shoes and help us put them on. He's a ton of fun.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_H19UxbFBays/Rw5I-WnotKI/AAAAAAAAA7k/9rnoCgoUN5g/s320/Amy2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5120110062427747490" />

(This picture was taken when we were in Colorado for a few days for Rick's brother's wedding. The order is from left to right: Chrissy, Tim and Abby.)

Rick is still teaching High School Mathematics in Anderson IN. He enjoys teaching the AP Calculus and pre-Calc classes there. He also teaches a couple of Math and environmental science classes at Ball State University, here in Muncie. He does a great job teaching both, as he enjoys the variety of students.

We have been involved in a small church here in Muncie and that has been our lifeline and family, away from home. They are a special group of believers! When I was unable to care for the kids for several days some of the ladies came and helped us out. What a blessing and lesson in servanthood! Praise God for such a special church family! We enjoy working with the little ones and our Bible study. I also enjoy working with the worship team and leading the music for some of the Christmas musicals. We are very thankful for them and what God has shown us through this family of believers.

I love being able to be home with our kids. It makes being so far away from family and friends worth it. My only struggle is trying to get enough play and special time with them. :) I am still teaching private piano and voice lessons and even one guitar lesson. It is challenging and I enjoy it.

That is the "Z" family for you all. I am so excited to hear how everyone is doing and how God is working in your lives. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to go to a school where we could know and pray for one another.

May the Lord bless you and Keep you until we meet again.
